Hi, I’m Katherine Searcy, M.Div. LICSW, RMT

Let’s get the credentials out the way. I’m a licensed psychotherapist, spiritual guide and energetic healer. So, I have a ton of letters behind my name. I spent most of my fifteen year career as a chaplain and social worker in health care, primarily hospice care journeying with those at the end of life. I am a certified Reiki Master Practitioner who has been offering energy healing services of over a decade. But that’s not the only reason why you should consider working with me. This is why:

I was literally born to do this! For my astrology enthusiast, I have my sun, moon, and mercury all in the 8th House of death, mental health, and shared resources. And because of this blueprint, I have been on a journey that has initiated me to do this work.

I specialize in grief work. I was introduced to her at the tender age of 5 with the death of my grandfather. Since then, I have witnessed many of my family members, childhood friends, beloved pets, and parts of myself transition to other planes.

See, I don’t like using the word loss even though we have been conditioned to think of death in this way. But we haven’t lost anything or anyone. They have transitioned to another plane that is just as real as this one.

And this is my approach to grief. A transpersonal, transdimensional, and transformative experience of witnessing grief as the healer she is.

Because grief is a heart opener, here to facilitate us in a journey to experience the spiritual realms with more confidence and trust.

If you are willing to explore her nurturing waters, let’s begin the conversation!

My Approach

psychotherapy

We use a therapeutic framework to understand the impact of grief on our mental and emotional bodies. We begin to release negative belief systems and narratives that impact the movement of grief through all of our bodies (emotional, mental, phsyical, spiritual).

reiki healing

Reiki is an energy healing modality that helps us to diagnose, clear, and balance our energy centers also known as our chakras. Oftentimes, we feel “stuck” in therapy because our energy is stuck. And it’s something you can’t talk through. This approach helps us in releasing and forgiving ourselves and others.

It begins by acknowleding that you can’t run from your grief forever. There’s no amount of compartmentalizing, hiding, or ignoring her call. I envision grief as very feminine energy here to shatter the walls we place around our heart when we experience the transition of something or someone near and dear to us. She is here to allow us to see that the relationship has shifted, but it hasn’t disappeared. Grief is here to serve us, not to overwhelm us. So this is how we work with her:

ancestral Work

This is a traditional healing practice that spans religious traditions and cultures. Practicing ancestral veneration (when appropriate) can offer us a way of connecting to our lineage that has crossed over. Grief opens us to this practice and it’s power if it aligns with the person. This has shown to help in the releasing process of grief.

intuitive guidance

Let’s use all of the tools in our kit, shall we. This experience is meant to flex our intuitive muscle. We will use several spiritual tools and divination systems to help us open up to our inner guidance which includes oracel/tarot readings, astrology/natal chart reading, dream analysis and interpretation, crystal therapy, and sound healing.
